Mission The Division for Academic Research its mission is to conduct in-depth and professional research on crimes committed during the war, contributing to the recognition and documentation of these events and their consequences
Responsibilities
Creating programs for research on war crimes;
Preparing and approving questionnaires for field research;
Planning and conducting research, including:
Collecting testimonies (written, audio, video, etc.) and interviewing witnesses;
Analyzing historical, military, economic, and other aspects;
Assessing losses and damages caused by crimes;
Publishing the testimonies of survivors in accordance with legislation;
Developing procedures for researching sexual violence during the war.
Coordinating with academic institutions for research and publication of results;
Participating in scientific events to address war crimes;
Presenting research findings on crimes committed during the war;
Distributing materials through various platforms;
Creating and maintaining the physical and electronic library of ICCW;
Cooperating with media and organizations for research activities;
Visualizing and interpreting ICCW data;
Fulfilling responsibilities for academic research and publishing results.
